  • 6:30 pm: Dinner, entertainment (slide presentation, cultural program with Odissi dance), and silent auction (including art items, dinners, bed-and-breakfast, food baskets and many other special items!).

• A full-course Indian Dinner is prepared by the legendary Mary Philip and friends, who have a big reputation in Northern California for their excellent Indian cuisine (click here to open or download the menu).

• All proceeds will be used to construct an urgently needed school building for the Mother Teresa School in Periyakrisnapuram in India. See below for further information and pictures.
  By purchasing a ticket, you will become a patron of the school; if you provide us with your e-mail address, we will update you every few months with short stories and pictures as the school is being built and then being used by the lovely children.

• According to standard IRS regulations, and based on the value of services received by patrons of this event, $15 per ticket is tax-deductible. The kids of the Mother Teresa School of Periyakrishnapuram

The Mother Teresa School of Periyakrishnapuram has currently approximately 50 children in a small classroom with a thatched leaf roof. The children range from lower kindergarten to third standard. These children come from underprivileged communities. More room is URGENTLY needed. We have started to raise money to construct a school building in the village. The total price for a simple building with 6 classrooms and a principal office would be approximately $17,000. We can use your support.
