Our vision and mission: We build bridges of friendship across the world, and make people aware that we can all be catalysts of change and make this world a better place. Together, we can make an incredible difference in the lives of underprivileged people in developing countries. Through this process we become enriched in unimaginable ways, and we learn what life is all about.

Our primary objectives are:

• To promote awareness and education of social, medical and environmental issues in developing countries.

• To support socio-economic and educational development projects in developing countries.

• To collaborate with local non-profit organizations in developing countries for the purposes mentioned above.

• To provide a link between non-profit organizations in developing countries and non-profit organizations and other agencies in developed countries.

• To create an international network of interested volunteers and other non-profit organizations to provide broader and more efficient support.

• To support programs that provide medical assistance to people in developing countries.

• To assist programs that do research on better ways to promote socio-economic, medical or environmental development in developing countries.

• To assist in disaster relief.

 

Sahaya International consists 100% of unpaid volunteers who dedicate their time, efforts and often also their personal resources to raise funds for the grassroots organizations in developing countries that provide direct support to the people who need it.

Accordingly, our overhead and administrative expenses (i.e., mailing charges, printing) are very low at approx. 2% and are at the end of each fiscal year also covered by a donation of a well-wisher. In other words, if you donate one dollar or euro, 100% of it will be sent overseas!
