Impact of the Trainings

  • Widows and destitute women were given an opportunity which really helped them to bring out their inner talents and made them capable of earning daily income.
  • Nearly 45 women are making income.
  • Through SEE Trust, they have the opportunity to make greeting cards and Mithila art. They can earn a daily wage Rs. 70 to 100 per day. Thirty women are earning this amount.
  • Eight women who finished tailoring are going for company work.

4. Widow's meeting

  • We organized a widows meeting on 15th of November 2008. More than 80 widows participated from five different places in Cuddalore. .
  • All the widows are destitute and span in age from 18 to 55. All were economically poor and socially weak.
  • But we find many of the widows are skilled people who can contrtibute by working in a petty shop, at a tiffin center or at a beauty center.
  • We have announced programs like daily savings,
  • We have offered free education for the children through the higher secondary level.
  • We help the widowns apply for government pensions.
  • We have organized a medical camp.
